A Fusion of Flavor with Maple Pecan and Applewood Seasoning!
Ingredients
Chicken Bacon Wraps
- 5 Chicken ThighsÂ
- 10 Strips of Bacon Â
- Stuffing MixÂ
-
Lane’s Applewood Seasoning
- Lane’s Maple Pecan SeasoningÂ
- Apple Smoking Wood
Apple Sauce
- 3 ApplesÂ
- 1/3 Cup Water
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 2 tbsp Maple SyrupÂ
- 1 tbsp Lane’s Applewood SeasoningÂ
Directions
- Preheat your barbecue to a temperature range of 140°C to 150°C.
Prepare the stuffing premix by combining 200ml of dry stuffing with 150ml of hot water, and enhance the mixture with a dash of Lane’s Maple Pecan seasoning.
- Flatten the chicken thighs, season them generously with Lanes Maple Pecan seasoning, and then coat them with the prepared stuffing mix. Roll each thigh tightly into a parcel.
Wrap 1 to 2 strips of bacon around each chicken parcel and season with Lanes Applewood seasoning.
- Place the prepared parcels on the barbecue, cooking indirectly for approximately 1 hour at 140°C to 150°C, or until the internal temperature of the thighs reaches around 75°C.
While the chicken is cooking, make the apple sauce. Peel and core 3 apples, then cube them. In a saucepan, combine the apple cubes with water, lemon juice, maple syrup, and a pinch of Lane’s Applewood seasoning. Simmer with the lid on, stirring occasionally, for 15 to 20 minutes until the apples soften.
- Blend or mash the cooked apples into a smooth purée and serve alongside the chicken parcels.
