Fire Up Flavor: The Perfect Steak & Potato Combo!
Ingredients
- 4 x SteaksÂ
- 4 x Medium Potato’s (thinly sliced)
- ½ Cup Grated Cheese
- 300ml Thickened Cream
- ¼ Cup Lane’s Australia Steak Supreme SeasoningÂ
- Parsley to garnish (optional)Â
Directions
- Preheat the BBQ and oven. Set the BBQ to 120°C for a slow, indirect heat to cook the steak. Later, we'll sear it to achieve the desired doneness. Aim for 54°C internal temperature for medium-rare and 57°C for medium, knowing that the searing process might take it slightly beyond these temperatures.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C for the potato bake. Thinly slice the potatoes.
- Mix 300ml of cream (or milk) with ¼ cup of Steak Supreme seasoning. In a baking dish, layer the potatoes followed by a thin layer of cheese, then drizzle some of the seasoned cream. Repeat until all potatoes and cream are used. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes, then remove the foil, sprinkle a little cheese, and bake for another 15 minutes uncovered.
- Season the steak with Steak Supreme seasoning and let it sit at room temperature with the rub on for 10 minutes. Place it on the BBQ for an indirect cook until reaching the desired doneness. At 120°C, reaching an internal temperature of 54°C should take roughly 45 minutes.
- Remove the steak and let it rest for 10 minutes. Then, sear it in a hot pan or on a hot BBQ for 90 seconds on each side to achieve a fantastic crust. Serve immediately.
